Marsons Limited has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Assam Electricity Grid Corporation Limited (AEGCL) for the supply of power transformers and associated services, according to a regulatory filing by the company.
The contract, valued at approximately Rs 31.27 crore including GST, pertains to the supply of 132/33 kV, 50 MVA power transformers for the Durlavcherra, Karimganj and Srikona substations under AEGCL’s Package-T-3. The scope of work also includes related services required for the installation and commissioning of the equipment.
The order forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Assam’s power transmission infrastructure and enhance the reliability and efficiency of the state’s electricity network. The deployment of high-capacity transformers is expected to support improved power flow, system stability and the growing electricity demand across the region.
The contract represents a significant addition to Marsons Limited’s order book and further reinforces the company’s position in the power equipment manufacturing sector. It also highlights the company’s continued participation in transmission and grid infrastructure projects being undertaken by utilities across India.
